Our data centers are industry-leading examples of energy efficient and cost-effective designs. /p pYou will: /p ul liOwn project scope, quality, schedule, and budget for construction of new builds or general capital projects. /li liOwn construction project management and oversight of construction related activities. /li liWork alongside partner teams such as Operations, Networking, Controls, Security, and Commissioning to build Data Centers that directly support our Customers. /li liBe a leader in your specific discipline (construction management, building services, architectural, electrical or mechanical engineering). /li liRepresent Amazon’s owner’s representative on construction sites daily, as interacting with construction trades. /li /ul pAt Amazon, we are all Owners and leverage unique opportunities presented to us by owning everything from the design review to construction bidding, execution, and final hand-off to our customers. We develop innovative data centers for our Customers. /p h3Key job responsibilities /h3 ul liBe Amazon’s construction representative on multiple data centers building and capital improvement construction project sites from construction start through hand-off to operations. /li liDirect interface with construction general contractors during the construction bidding, award, execution, punch‑list, and closeout phases. /li liCreate construction project scope and request for proposals. /li liConduct negotiations with general contractors and evaluate bids and proposals with detail and accuracy. /li liManage and drive cost, schedule, and quality while managing construction contractors and vendors. /li liPerform construction project management activities, including management of documents, submittals, RFIs, change orders, invoices, quality, scope, and schedule. /li liDrive construction teams to troubleshoot and perform root‑cause failure analysis on equipment failures. /li liSupport commissioning and integrated system testing and oversight. /li liSupport operations of installed facilities, including review of procedures, best practices, and maintenance initiatives. /li liSupport capital request creation. /li liAnalyze and report construction progress and financials. /li liRecord and report key construction metrics to team members and management. /li liContribute to construction initiatives aimed at improving construction efficiency and increasing data center resiliency. /li liProvide constructability reviews for electrical and mechanical designs for new or optimization of existing data centers. /li /ul h3A day in the life /h3 pThe project is located in New Carlisle, Indiana about 30 minutes from South Bend. /p h3About the team /h3 pDiverse Experiences: Amazon values diverse experiences. The base pay for this position ranges from $125,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $239,300/year in our highest geographic market.
