Job Title: Solution Manager (Senior Presales Engineer)
Location: Rome or Milan
Our client is a global technology leader specializing in renewable energy sector, including PV/BESS/EV charging solutions.
Operating in over 170 countries, our client support customers in building future-oriented infrastructure, accelerating the energy transition, and advancing digital transformation across industries.
Position Summary
We are looking for a seasoned Solution Manager (Senior Presales Engineer) to contribute to the expansion of PV and utility-scale energy storage portfolio. This role is central to supporting commercial success by converting customer expectations into robust, competitive, and commercially viable technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Support revenue growth for PV and Utility Storage offerings by working closely with internal engineering, sales, and operations teams.
Analyze market dynamics, competitive landscape, and emerging trends to strengthen market positioning and improve bid win rates.
Interpret complex client requirements and transform them into practical, high-value technical solutions aligned with regulatory, technical, and financial constraints.
Gain an in-depth understanding of customer business models, technical needs, and system architectures to deliver optimized end-to-end solutions.
Participate in, and when necessary, lead technical and commercial discussions and negotiations throughout the presales phase.
Establish and nurture long-term relationships with customers, partners, and other external stakeholders across the full project lifecycle.
Collect and apply market insights and customer feedback to continuously enhance solution design and presales methodologies.
Qualifications
At least 4 years of hands-on experience in developing technical solutions for PV inverter and/or Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects within the solar energy sector.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Science, or a comparable technical field.
Full professional proficiency in both Italian and English is required.
Strong problem-solving skills, meticulous attention to detail, and excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Demonstrated experience in customer and partner engagement within a presales, solutions engineering, or similar role is considered a strong advantage.
Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, fast-moving environment, with a collaborative mindset and experience working in multicultural teams.
