Oltre-Cyber Space Defence is looking for an experienced Linux System Administrator to support secure, mission-critical infrastructures within the defence domain in La Spezia.
Responsibilities
• Daily administration of RHEL servers and Ubuntu workstations.
• Installation, configuration, and maintenance of core services (Bind, Apache, MySQL, LDAP, DNS, DHCP).
• Integration of Linux environments with Windows/Active Directory (Centrify).
• Automation through scripting (Bash, Shell).
• Virtualization management (VMware).
• Backups, updates, performance optimisation, monitoring, and documentation.
• 2nd line system administration support and cooperation with the Service Desk.
• Reporting on system availability and supporting corrective actions.
Requirements
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with RHEL and Ubuntu.
• Strong experience in virtualization, scripting, Linux core services, and network troubleshooting.
• Experience with LDAP, SELinux, anti-malware solutions and repository management.
• Proven experience integrating Linux and Windows environments through Centrify.
• Excellent command of English (NATO STANAG 6001 – SLP 3333).
• Eligibility for NATO Secret security clearance (active clearance is an asset).
Nice to Have
• Experience with Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Linux/VMware/Security+ certifications.
• Experience in international or military environments.
• Git and advanced automation skills.
