Hotel Caesar Augustus, Capri, is looking for a high-performing Director of Sales & Marketing. Our Director of Sales & Marketing monitors the sales & marketing activities to ensure that all sales & marketing targets are met. The position has overall responsibility for achieving revenue goals, guest and employee satisfaction and the financial performance of the department. This post will be based at Hotel Caesar Augustus, Capri.

This position reports to our Regional Commercial Director.

Full Time.

Work authorization for the location is required.


RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Develop and implement strategies to exceed financial results and drive market share, customer satisfaction, employee loyalty, owner loyalty, and brand strength for the hotel.
2. Develop and implement a sales strategy to effectively manage all the different sales channels; utilizes on-property sales resources and leverages all above property sales engines to deliver results. Ensure the development of a strategic account plans for the demand generators in the market.
3. Lead, manage, and mentor the reservations team and the external agencies to ensure high performance and accountability.
4. Identify new market opportunities and customer segments to drive business expansion.
5. Oversee PR and digital agency.
6. Handle media requests
7. Will assist in the development of the annual budget
8. Act as the customer expert and customer advocate at the hotel. Ensures sales and marketing information provided to the operations departments is timely, accurate and enables property to meet or exceed guest expectations, create customer loyalty and grow market share.
9. Strategic business thinker. Strategically evaluates and makes decisions based on data. Identify changing market conditions and introduces appropriate changes in sales and marketing strategy to meet or exceed customer expectations,
10. Proactive, business-focused, data-driven and ROI-minded maximize revenue and ensure competitive position in the market.
11. Knows the business, the competition, the clients and customer trends. Represent the customer needs to the rest of the hotel, and constantly identify and communicate potential new revenue opportunities to the hotel executive team influencing the development of plans to tap those opportunities.
12. Proactively develops and maintains effective relationships with internal and external key stakeholder groups. Works with operations department heads to ensure sales strategies are aligned with the overall hotel plan.
13. Liaise and strengthen relationship with main accounts in order to drive business and increase fare market share
14. Create and execute account plans for assigned market territory to ensure maximum revenue and budgeted targets are achieved.
15. Conduct sales calls, prospecting calls, site inspections, and entertainment
16. Hire, retain and develop diverse, high- caliber talent that makes a strong positive impact on the organization, and creates and sustains a work environment that embraces the brand’s culture, ensures fair and equitable treatment and associate satisfaction to enable business success.


QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

17. Applicants are required to have at least three to five years in a Sales Director role
18. Proven sales track record with a strong knowledge of the luxury consortia business
19. Creative and innovative approach to sales activities
20. Strong leadership skills
21. Excellent negotiation skills and strong decision-making abilities
22. Reading, writing and oral proficiency in Italian and English.
23. Working computer skills and knowledge including but not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Delphi, Internet and Opera
24. Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in Europe
