Primary Purpose and Overall Objective of the Job :
Reporting to the Senior Director Sales, Clinical Diagnostics Adriatic, the Area Sales Manager South Italy will oversee and coordinate the sales team in the South Italy region (Campania, Puglia, Molise, Basilicata, Calabria, Sicilia). The role involves developing and coaching the team to achieve sales targets, executing company strategy, monitoring market dynamics, regional policies, and ensuring compliance with the company's ethical standards.
Main Accountabilities :
Business Results :
* Achieve annual sales targets by defining and executing strategic actions in the territory, leading the sales team, and monitoring results.
* Regularly organize SBO meetings to manage pipelines and review account plans and opportunities.
* Provide timely updates on market dynamics, tenders, pricing, competitor activities, and regional health policies.
* Manage activities related to tenders, quotations, and contracts.
* Monitor profitability through sales evaluations, price trends, product ranges, and contract commitments.
People Leadership and Development :
* Coach and develop the team in alignment with company strategy and vision.
* Build team performance by defining roles and responsibilities.
* Promote a culture of cross-functional teamwork.
* Influence internal stakeholders based on project priorities.
Experience and Skills :
* Degree in science or similar; Master in Economics is a plus.
* Experience managing key opinion leaders.
* Strong management and change management skills.
* Minimum of 10+ years in sales, including people management.
* Proven ability to lead transformation processes.
* Capability to develop profitability schemes.
* Skill in assessing competitive responses and adjusting strategies accordingly.
