Position OverviewWe are looking for an Area Sales Manager (account) to be a part of a very close‑knit team to grow within Johnson Controls Security Division. You will work with our industry‑leading portfolio of established security products and help target key customers with innovative solutions as well as opening doors with proposals suitable for vertical markets. You will serve as the JCI point of contact for our existing customer base and future customers.
AccountabilitiesIn this challenging role you will:
- Prospect new customers on the Italian market and drive profitable growth.
- Organise your own prospecting agenda autonomously and report via Salesforce.
- Promote products through presentations or demonstrations and explain advantages of our intrusion solutions.
- Participate in events such as exhibitions and may be required to organise training sessions of our products both on customer site and remotely.
- Keep customers informed of the latest solutions and new products.
- Gain a clear understanding of customers’ businesses and requirements.
- Work closely with your Regional Sales Manager to implement actions and tools necessary for sales development.
- Maintain excellent working relationships with other departments, the Regional Business Manager and staff to support business development and retention.
Qualifications- At least 5 years of professional experience in a similar position.
- Proven track record of selling technical products within the Security Market.
- In‑depth knowledge of the electronic security market.
- Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office platform.
- Sufficient level of written and spoken English.
- Preferably live in Northern Italy and able to work from home.
- Experience selling in a B2B sales environment.
- Experience with sales activity using social media.
- Knowledge of the smart‑home market.
- Experience using tools such as Microsoft Teams or similar for webinars and remote customer report management.
- Sales experience in technology, consumer electronics, and services.
- Experience in an international workplace.
Location and TravelThe candidate will be based in Northern Italy, with a willingness to travel up to 75% of working time. The role is home‑office based and linked to the northern Italian market.
