About Orient Express Venezia
Orient Express will open its second hotel in Italy at the exceptional in Venice. Architect and interior designer Aline Amar d’Amman, alongside her studio Culture in Architecture, has been entrusted to design and decorate the space.
Venice, once the gateway to Constantinople and a mythical stop on the legendary Orient Express train – that opened its doors in 1919 with the completion of the Simplon tunnel linking Switzerland to Italy – will be the home of the second Orient Express hotel, set to open in 2026.
Commis de Rang – Fine Dining
The Commis de Rang supports the service team in delivering an exceptional dining experience by providing attentive, professional, and efficient service in accordance with the highest fine dining standards. Working closely with the Chef de Rang, the role contributes to the smooth operation of the assigned section and helps ensure that guests receive a seamless and memorable experience.
The ideal candidate demonstrates a genuine passion for hospitality, strong attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and develop within a luxury dining environment. The Commis de Rang assists with mise en place, table setup and maintenance, food and beverage service, and the overall presentation of the dining room, ensuring that all service standards are consistently upheld.
The role requires excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. A professional appearance, guest-focused mindset, and commitment to delivering outstanding service are essential to success in this position.
The ideal candidate has a genuine passion for hospitality and a strong desire to develop a career within a luxury fine dining environment. Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or food and beverage operation is advantageous but not essential.
The candidate demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and a professional appearance and demeanor. Strong attention to detail, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are essential.
The ability to perform in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high service standards is required. A guest-focused approach, flexibility, reliability, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service are key attributes for success in this role. Fluency in English is required, while knowledge of additional languages is considered an advantage.
