 
        
        Procurement SW Solutions Category Manager
Thales Alenia Space is a global space manufacturer delivering high‑tech solutions for telecommunications, navigation, Earth observation, and more. Our procurement function is key to competitiveness. We are looking for a Category Manager for C62 dealing with EGSE & Test services solutions for all TAS CC and BL in France, Italy, Belgium, Spain, and the UK. 
Responsibilities
- Analyze business needs and challenge demands. 
- Manage the acquisition process in accordance with product strategy until contract signature. 
- Negotiate and implement contracts as per TAS Terms & Conditions or Customer Contract flow down. 
- Define the category strategy in collaboration with Global Category Manager. 
- Contribute and interface with GCM for MYB, offsets, strategies. 
- Contribute to Competitiveness & Offset Plans of the segment. 
- Define and manage supplier risk mitigation plans. 
- Act as procurement lead with suppliers and conduct Supplier Business Reviews. 
- Interface with Domain & PPM for business intimacy and provide added value. 
- Collaborate with Thales Group coordination on overall C62 activities. 
Qualifications
- Technical experience in software defined ground subsystems for the Navigation domain. 
- International negotiation experience for institutional businesses. 
- Experience in supplier management and building long‑term partnerships with strategic suppliers through contract frameworks. 
- Experience in risk management. 
- Procurement experience of software defined solutions with negotiation of Intellectual Property Rights. 
- Ability to work in an international team with travel availability (short duration). 
- Business oriented, curious about new businesses, organized, proactive, and rigorous with task monitoring. 
- Capability to challenge legacy situations, influence stakeholders, and run market analysis. 
- Strong communication abilities, teamwork, and commitment to objectives. 
- English negotiation skills.
