Account Manager (Milan)
This position is responsible for maintaining deep customer relationships to drive account revenue retention and growth. By collaborating with internal partners, the Account Manager delivers exceptional service and valuable solutions. The position manages a defined book of business within a specific customer segment and geography, and is accountable for closing all deals. The role also involves opening larger solution opportunities and introducing Solution and Proposition Sales.
Role Responsibilities
* Demonstrate a deep understanding of customer decision makers’ strategies, priorities, and needs
* Maintain solid knowledge of company propositions to initiate conversations and raise interest
* Build and embed long-term trusted advisor relationships within assigned accounts
* Drive growth by expanding the company's footprint within accounts
* Focus on maintaining overall customer engagement, expanding, and retaining managed net revenue
* Lead all commercial activities within accounts, owning the end-to-end customer relationship
* Drive efficiency in account administration, especially for lower value and growth potential accounts
* Manage internal and external partners and maintain networks to negotiate and close deals
* Be accountable and responsible for simple order taking
Emerging & Growth Model
* Manage an assigned growth accounts book proactively
* Manage a pooled book of accounts reactively as needed
* All Account Managers in these segments are responsible for revenue retention, sales, and administration of their accounts
Qualifications and Experience Required
* Strong understanding of customers, their business models, and workflows
* Prior financial sector experience within the customer segment
* Proven account management, sales, or marketing experience in a customer-facing environment
* Relationship building and negotiation skills
* Selling skills, including developing and articulating complex propositions and consultative selling
* Interpersonal skills, ability to develop and execute a sales plan, and proficiency with technology
* Problem-solving skills to understand, articulate, structure, and solve client needs
* Presentation and communication skills to deliver presentations and communicate effectively at all organizational levels
* Ability to collaborate with other team members
* University/college degree; equivalent experience may be considered; an advanced degree may be preferred
* Experience with customer relationship management across various organizational levels
* Language skills: We are hiring for positions requiring German, French, and Italian language proficiency
