Own the full sales cycle. Shape a growing company. Build lasting relationships in one of Europes most dynamic marine markets.

Turner Engine Control Solutions (TECS) is an international engineering company specializing in control systems for gas turbines, steam turbines, diesel engines, and generators. Were a lean, ambitious team of 75 specialists operating across the Netherlands, UK, Germany, and Italy. Recent wins include advanced power management for offshore platforms, island energy control integrating renewable sources, long duration industrial scale storage, and hydrogen ready marine vessel systems. Were looking for someone with fire in their belly to drive our marine business in Italy.

This isnt a corporate sales role where you fill in CRM fields and wait for leads. This is entrepreneurial, high-impact work: youll hunt for new business, maintain strategic accounts, and directly influence how fast we grow in the Italian market.


What Youll Actually Do:

Hunt and close new business across the Italian marine sector: cruise ships, commercial vessels, naval applications, offshore support vessels. We have traction; youll expand it.

Own strategic accounts from first conversation through contract signature and beyond. Youre the face of TECS in Italy.

Travel frequently to shipyards and customer sites across Italy, and occasionally internationally. Your office is wherever the customer needs you.

Work closely with our Italian team: youll work with our Sales Team Lead (whos currently doing most of the sales and knows this market inside-out), collaborate with two Customer Service Representatives wholl support you administratively, and partner with our growing local engineering team of who can back you up technically.

Shape how we work. Were building this as we go. Got ideas on how to crack a new segment? Want to try a different approach to relationship management? Lets test it.


What You Bring:

Existing relationships in the Italian marine industry. This is huge. You know the shipyards, the operators, the decision-makers. And you know how to get to them quickly.

Technical fluency. You understand (or can quickly learn) control systems for engines, generators, power management systems and ship automation. At least well enough to have credible conversations with chief engineers and technical managers.

Bilingual Italian/English. Youll work across our international organization daily. Both languages need to be genuinely strong.

Sales fundamentals. Youve done technical sales before, where cold selling would be an advantage. You know how to qualify opportunities, prepare proposals, negotiate commercial terms, and close deals without constant handholding. For this you will need at least 3 years of experience in technical sales.

“Can do mentality”. Youre comfortable with autonomy, ambiguity, and the responsibility that comes with direct impact. When things need figuring out, you figure them out.

€40,000 - €60,000 base salary (depending on experience) + UniSalute health insurance
