Senior Product Manager – In-Store Payments Location: Austin, Dallas, San Antonio – H‑E‑B
Overview H‑E‑B Digital Technology is investing heavily in digital experience to empower customers, partners, and suppliers. This role is a critical part of the digital product ecosystem, delivering world‑class payment solutions to enhance the in‑store experience.
Responsibilities
Own and deliver the end‑to‑end product lifecycle for in‑store payment systems, ensuring a compelling digital experience for retail customers and partners.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand needs, define product vision, and drive cross‑functional execution.
Drive project planning, roadmap construction, and stakeholder communication to meet product goals.
Integrate third‑party processors, acquirers, or middleware while maintaining PCI compliance, fraud prevention, and operational realities.
Mentor and coach junior product managers or analysts as needed.
Own product metrics, data analysis, and financial impact assessments to inform decisions.
Qualifications
5+ years of product management/engineering experience in retail, finance, or technology.
Deep understanding of payment flows (authorization, settlement, reconciliation) across multiple tender types.
Experience with PCI compliance, fraud prevention, and payments in physical retail environments.
Strong analytical, communication, and Agile/Scrum skills.
Proven ability to work across hardware and software teams, including integration with third‑party vendors.
Comfortable navigating legacy systems while driving modernization.
Preferred Background
Experience owning product strategy for in‑store payment systems or point‑of‑sale platforms at scale.
Formal degree or comparable training in relevant field.
Advanced knowledge of customer‑voice techniques and product management tools (JIRA, Confluence).
