This role involves identifying the needs of current and potential customers for legacy Evoqua ISS products (now known as WSS Expansion) and offering tailored solutions. Key responsibilities include achieving sales targets through the acquisition of new customers and promoting products and services to the existing client base, as well as developing market opportunities with a focus on up- and cross-selling. The position also requires regular collaboration with customers, commercial partners, and internal teams, including European stakeholders, to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
* Acquire, develop, and manage existing customers and new prospects.
* Identify market potential and qualify accounts. Prioritize accounts based on change, potential, and segmentation within a strategic sales and account plan.
* Build and maintain a strong network with clients and stakeholders.
* Initiate sales processes by scheduling appointments with both clients and prospects.
* Identify customer needs and advise on WSS Expansion products and solutions that meet or exceed expectations.
* Prepare and follow up on quotations and tenders.
* Act as the local point of contact for any commercial issues during project implementation.
* Align product and solution offerings with specific customer needs, deliver compelling value propositions that differentiate from competitors, and apply appropriate sales approaches for each account and business context.
* Manage and comply with the existing customer funneling strategy for both direct customers and indirect channels (e.g., service partners and distributors).
* Support the collection of strategic market information by tracking competitors' products and customer feedback, and act accordingly.
* Meet—and ideally exceed—sales targets by achieving personal and regional sales objectives.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM system as per company policy, including opportunities, contracts, email correspondence, customer relations, tenders, and quotations.
* When required, collaborate with third-party contractors to explore mutually beneficial solutions that support the goals of all parties involved (contractor, end user, Xylem), while fostering mutual trust.
Requirements :
* Bachelor's or Master’s degree in a technical or commercial field, or equivalent professional experience.
* At least 5 years of experience in a similar position with comparable products or within the technical sector. Experience in the industrial sector is considered a plus.
* Affinity with technical products and solutions, particularly in the wastewater or clean water treatment field, is a plus.
* Excellent command of both Italian and English, spoken and written.
