We are hiring an ICQA Area Manager to be part of our fulfillment center Inventory Control and Quality Assurance (ICQA) team. Our fulfillment centers (FC) sit at the heart of Amazon’s rapidly growing operations network: they manage fast-moving inventory, stow deliveries, pick products, package them, and ship them out. These centers are fast-paced and high-reward environments where adherence to policies and procedures is key. We need a leader who ensures reliable delivery to customers while guiding teams to uphold customer obsession. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liLead and supervise a team of hourly Associates (including Team Leads and Data Analysts) assigned to inventory control, quality assurance, and problem-solving operations within the fulfillment center. /li liSupport safety programs and compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all associates; collaborate with Operations and other Support teams to establish, influence, and adhere to policies and procedures. /li liCoordinate inventory control, quality assurance, and problem-solving operations in alignment with network strategies, ensuring SOX compliance and consistency. /li liConduct shift planning and forecasting; assign and direct work; oversee projects to streamline processes, increase quality, and optimize productivity. /li liEnsure KPIs are reviewed daily, weekly, or monthly and perform quality analysis on any behaviors or processes that could impact inventory integrity and customer experience. /li liGain expertise in key fulfillment center process paths and their exception handling to drive continuous improvement alongside the operations management team. /li liAssist in interviewing and training fulfillment center managers and associates, developing talent and hiring the next generation of leaders. /li /ul h3A day in the life /h3 pYou’ll work shifts at one of our fulfillment centers, overseeing inventory control, quality assurance, and problem-solving operations. Your day typically starts with a team huddle to review previous shift performance, set daily goals, and address ongoing issues. Throughout your shift you will conduct inventory discrepancy analyses, oversee the resolution of receiving issues, and coach team members on accuracy improvement. You’ll regularly analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for process improvement, collaborating with FC operations or central teams (Catalogue, Procurement, Supply Chain, Process Engineering, Loss Prevention, and Program Management). You’ll make quick, informed decisions to keep operations running smoothly. You’ll be on the floor observing processes, coaching team members, and ensuring safety standards. You’ll devote time to developing your team, providing feedback, and identifying training needs. By shift end, you’ll prepare a handover for the next shift, summarizing key events, ongoing issues, and priorities, contributing to inventory accuracy and customer satisfaction through efficient fulfillment operations. /p h3About The Team /h3 pThe EU ICQA mission is to prevent and remove customer-facing defects with the goal of providing world-class service to customers at the lowest possible cost. We empower and support team members to grow and achieve their aspirations. /p h3Basic Qualifications /h3 ul liA degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience in operations management. /li liRelevant experience in performing data analysis and understanding data sets and tools. /li liProficient in the local language and English, both spoken and written. /li liAdvanced MS Office suite user, especially Excel. /li liPrevious experience leading teams. /li /ul h3Preferred Qualifications /h3 ul liPreferred qualifications are not required to apply for a position at Amazon.
