About Aethos Monterosa
In the middle of the Aosta Valley, below the Monte Rosa and Cervino glaciers, lies Aethos Monterosa – a 30-room five-star active luxury resort featuring two F&B outlets, a SPA, and its own climbing and ice climbing wall. We are expanding the property with 20 additional rooms and are looking for an outstanding team to join us for the upcoming summer season.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
* Pastry Station Leadership: Are you ready to take full control of the pastry section?You'll lead the preparation, execution, and presentation of desserts, viennoiserie, and baked goods—ensuring everything that leaves your station meets the highest standards of taste and aesthetics.
* Creative Precision: Do you combine technical skills with artistic flair?You'll bring structure and imagination together—following recipes precisely while also having the freedom to innovate and contribute to the creation of seasonal or signature desserts.
* Daily Preparation & Mise en Place: Can you keep your section perfectly organized, every day? You'll manage your prep list with discipline and accuracy, ensuring that every element is ready for service—from sauces and garnishes to doughs and creams. Your mise en place is your foundation.
* Team Collaboration: Are you a reliable and respectful member of the kitchen brigade? You'll work closely with the Executive Pastry Chef and fellow chefs, supporting other sections when needed and contributing to a positive, team-focused environment.
* Learning & Development: Are you committed to continuous improvement? You'll have the chance to deepen your pastry knowledge, explore modern techniques, and develop new skills under the guidance of senior chefs. Growth is part of the journey.
Core Competencies
* Fluent in English and Italian – both spoken and written
* Previous experience in a professional pastry kitchen, ideally in a hotel or fine dining environment
* Minimum 1–2 years' experience as a Pastry Commis or Demi Chef
* Deep understanding of pastry fundamentals – creams, doughs, mousses, glazes, etc.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
* Ability to work independently while coordinating with the wider kitchen team
* Knowledge of modern plating techniques and seasonal ingredients
* High standards of cleanliness, food safety, and HACCP procedures
* Passion for the pastry arts and the desire to create memorable guest experiences
