Job Position
To get our guests’ memorable experiences off to an unforgettable start, we’re looking for an experienced Reservation Agent for our International Luxury Hotel Brand located in Rome, who can make the booking process feel seamless.
The ideal candidate will manage bookings with precision and a personalized approach, ensuring every detail is handled efficiently from the initial inquiry to post-stay follow-up. With at least 2 years of experience in reservations, within the luxury hospitality industry, you’ll bring confidence, organization, and a guest-centric mindset to every interaction.
You’ll offer exceptional local insights, collaborate closely with Sales and Events teams, and anticipate every request to make our guests feel right at home — ensuring each stay or event begins flawlessly and creates a memorable guest experience.
This position works from Thursday to Monday (including weekends) to ensure full weekend coverage.
A little taste of your day-to-day
Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:
* Kicking off truly memorable guest experiences with the warmest of welcomes.
* Handling booking systems effectively, maximizing conversion opportunities through a
* customized offer process.
* Making the booking process feel swift and seamless, tailor-making the customer’s
* offer according to their preferences.
* Acknowledging loyalty programs as well as stimulating customer’s loyalty to the hotel.
* Efficiently handling all aspects of the reservation, from guest preferences to ancillary
* services.
* Staying one step ahead of our guests’ needs to anticipate requests and offer tailored
* recommendations.
* Organizing and hosting cross-departmental meetings to share all relevant information related to bookings.
* Being our guests’ trusted point of contact – assisting with requests and providing support throughout the booking journey.
* Efficiently coordinating with other operational departments to ensure a successful stay
* of the guests.
* Reporting to the Groups and Reservations Manager.
What we need from you
* Communication skills - guests will need to come to you with concerns as well as
* compliments, so you’ll be easy to talk to.
* Your problem-solving skills will turn issues into opportunities so every guest can begin their stay with complete confidence.
* Fluency in the Italian & English language - extra language skills would be great.
* Literate and tech-savvy - you’ll need a good grasp of reading, writing, basic math and
* computer skills, including familiarity with Opera PMS.
* At least two years of experience in a reservations department within the luxury hospitality sector is preferred.
* Strong attention to consistency and quality standards, ensuring that all reservation procedures and guest interactions follow the hotel’s house standards and brand guidelines;
* Ability to maintain high service standards during quality checks and mystery calls, demonstrating professionalism, accuracy and a guest-focused approach at all times.
