ABOUT THE JOB
We are looking for an ambitious and results-oriented Sales Area Manager to drive business growth across the Asian market. Reporting directly to the Commercial Management team, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing key client relationships, and supporting the successful delivery of complex engineering projects. The successful candidate will combine strong commercial acumen with technical understanding, working closely with internal engineering and project teams to deliver tailored solutions that meet customer requirements.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Analyze the target market, identify new business opportunities, and manage the entire sales pipeline (lead generation, negotiation, and contract closing)
Strengthen relationships with existing clients (general contractors, engineering and design firms, end-user companies, and public authorities)
Collaborate with the technical department to define customized plant engineering solutions, participating in site visits and technical meetings
Coordinate the preparation of technical and commercial proposals, managing participation in public tenders and private negotiations
Monitor sales KPIs, project profitability, and prepare periodic reports on the performance of the assigned area to support the Commercial Management team
Represent the company at trade fairs, industry events, and technical forums.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Technical diploma or Bachelor's/Master's degree in Engineering (preferably Industrial/Management, Mechanical, Energy, or Electrical Engineering)
Minimum 3–5 years of previous experience as a Sales Area Manager or Technical Account Manager within the plant engineering sector
In-depth knowledge of industry regulations (Machinery Directive) and ability to interpret technical specifications and engineering drawings
Excellent command of both Italian and English
Excellent negotiation and communication skills
Strong results-oriented mindset and ability to work under pressure
Excellent planning skills and ability to independently manage business travel
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates in both an office environment and a manufacturing environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment, such as computes, phones. The individual will be required to adhere to safety policies and procedures on the manufacturing floor.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday 8am to 5.30pm, with additional hours as business needs necessitate. TRAVEL Occasional overseas and domestic travel may be required to support the rapid growth of the company.
