Career Opportunities: Data Capture Manufacturing and T&L Sales Director (11288) Sales Director, Manufacturing and T&L, Data Capture (North America)
ROLE MISSION:
The position ensures the achievement of individual and team targets, the development of long-term customer relationships, and the expansion of Datalogic’s market share within the Manufacturing and T&L sectors. In addition, the role oversees sales planning, budgeting, recruitment, and reporting within the assigned geography.
The role will be reporting to North America Sales Vice President.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Define and execute the regional and industry sales strategy in alignment with global business objectives
* Lead and coordinate the sales organization in North America to achieve annual revenue and growth targets
* Develop sales team capabilities through performance management, talent development, and succession planning
* Monitor sales performance, pipeline quality, and forecast accuracy; identify risks and define corrective actions
* Manage and negotiate with strategic and enterprise customers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and long-term value creation
* Own account strategies within the assigned region and collaborate closely with internal Business Units on key opportunities
* Establish and maintain executive-level relationships with top customers, developing a deep understanding of their processes and business models
* Adapt global sales initiatives to local market requirements and competitive dynamics
* Prepare and contribute to quarterly and annual business reviews in collaboration with Regional and Global Sales leadership
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Education (School/Specialization) Bachelor’s degree in business/marketing, economics, engineering or related discipline
Primary Language Fluent English
Experience
* Minimum of 8+ years of sales experience, including leadership of account managers within the Manufacturing and/or Transportation & Logistics industries in North America
* Proven track record in selling AIDC devices and solutions to end customers or OEMs
* Strong experience with CRM systems (Microsoft Dynamics preferred)
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills, combined with a results‑oriented and collaborative approach
* The ideal candidate brings a strong industry network, consultative selling expertise, and the ability to translate company offerings into compelling, client‑specific value propositions
* Experience collaborating with executive level, manufacturing engineering, plant operations, and R&D stakeholders in large complex projects
Travel •
This position is home based and requires travel approximately 50%+ of the time
