Business Development Manager (Italy) Catalent Micron Technologies Dartford facility specializes in particle size reduction technologies and integrated analytical services for the pharmaceutical industry we are looking for a Business Development Manager to join the team. This role requires the individual to have established API drug substance knowledge and a relentless passion for uncovering new opportunities/business. This is a key role in ensuring that our site continues to provide our Patient First mission. This is an excellent opportunity for an established sales person or someone wanting to take their first steps in to a sales role. The Role: - Prospect within the territory to win new customers. Specifically targeting customers in Italy and mainland Europe. - Grow the APIs micronised with existing customers to maximise Catalent’s share of the customer’s outsourcing spend on micronisation. - Responsible for meeting and exceeding financial and other growth targets for the site. - Host customer site visits and associated hospitality. - Drive the marketing strategy for micronisation services. Utilising corporate marketing and Inside Sale Resources to improve awareness and secure new business. - Attend exhibitions and conferences as the representative of micronisation services and where required, present capabilities in appropriate forums. - Support metrics tracking, reporting and forecasting business through obtaining information from customers and preparing for regular meetings with key customers. - Continually evaluate and adapt new business and customer processes to create greater efficiency and effectiveness in pursuing new business and managing existing customers - Degree in a scientific discipline, business, or related field. - Relevant industry knowledge of API manufacturing or development, analytical research and scale-up, product manufacturing. - Combined sales and/or sales management experience in the pharmaceutical contract services sales (CDMO), pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences industries. - Have a passion, aptitude, & hunter mentality for sales - Distinct knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and drug development and/or analytics is preferred. - Experienced contract negotiator - Analytical, financial, and statistical skills - Customer services skills and professional demeanor - MS Office skills - Demonstrated ability to read, write, and speak clear English.
