Inside Sales Account Manager Italy (Milan) / Spain (Madrid) The role As Inside Sales Account Manager here at Illumina, you will have ownership of inside sales across part of the region and taking responsibility for implementing a strategy to develop the existing accounts, and sourcing new ones, working together with Field Sales and your Inside Sales Manager to maximise revenue on your territory. Why you As our Inside Sales Account Manager, your communication skills across telephone and email enable you to build good relationships with customers, establishing you as a trusted partner. You enjoy getting to know your customer needs and can anticipate what will make them a satisfied customer of Illumina’s, helping to guide them through our product portfolio and addressing any questions they have. You will have a proven background and knowledge of Genetic analysis (NGS) techniques (PCR / NGS / Sanger etc) If you want to push boundaries and join a culture fuelled by innovation, collaboration and openness, this role could be for you. - Manages the customer sales process for specific territories (Mediterranean area e.g. Italy and Greece) and accounts via phone and email. Potential to do field visits as required to help advance opportunities.
- Meets sales targets and is responsible for accurate forecasting and maintaining up-to-date contact and opportunity information in CRM database
- Engages with existing customers and qualified sales leads, guiding customers to the Illumina products that best meet their needs, coordinating with internal resources to address customer questions or objections, providing budgetary pricing, creating and submitting individualized quotes and closing the sales process through the point of order receipt
- Working either individually or together with the Lead Generation Specialist team on prospecting activities to find new accounts and develop new opportunities
- Works collaboratively with the wider sales team including TAMs, ISAMs, Sales Specialists and Service Contracts team
- Establishes and maintains strong, positive, productive relationships with customer accounts including product end-users, management and purchasing contacts
- Tracks and reports on all activities to managers

Preferred Background, Skills, And Experience

- Fluency in English and Italian required (Spanish and/or Greek considered a plus)
- Knowledge of Genetic analysis techniques (PCR / NGS / Sanger etc)
- Able to quickly grasp and master highly technical concepts and articulate them well to others
- Outstanding listening, verbal, and written communication skills - articulate and quick thinking
- Team goal oriented with a focus on achieving team sales performance metrics.
- Detail-oriented and ability to focus in a fast-paced environment
- Proven successful sales experience with a technical product line a plus but other sales experience would be considered
