Firenze, Italy (Hybrid) Solution Architect Solution Architect, with a large professional experience (min. 8 years) is in charge to find the optimal design for a solution that meets customers’ needs and constraints (costs, norms, cyber, manufacturability, serviceability, reuse,).
The architect is knowledgeable on Architecture frameworks, modelling tools, architecture methods with sufficient understanding of business context to prioritize design constraints and drivers. Main activities
- Identifies and analyzies the requirements (Contractual and System Requirements phase), defining the architecture, allocating the requirements to the system components, defining the interfaces between components
- Participate in planning, definition, and high-level design of the solution and exploration of solution alternatives
- Define Architecture, subsystems and their interfaces
- Developes solutions (System Design and Development phases), integrating, providing support to verify, validate and qualify the system (System Integration and Acceptance phases)
- When required, Produce Migration Plan, identifying constraints and priorities
- Creation of system documents, review of product specifications / architectures
- Define, explore, and support implementation of enablers
- Support technological/engineering aspects for Bids/Projects
- Oversees solution integrity with the Configuration Manager
- Provides support for deployment/installation and site acceptance activities
- Ensures coordination and communication among the various players in technical activities and a smooth transition of responsibility to "Installation and Commissioning" organization
- Coordinates with his technical Customer Counterpart according to Contractual requirement
- Participates to Program/Project Meetings (internal and external: with the Customer, subcontractors and other entities) when scheduled and/or requested
- Provides Support to technical discussions with different Vendors and Subcontractors
- Correctly applies Quality procedures and HSE procedures and instruction
- Proposes variation requests to SEM/PM for submitting to the Customer
- Supports the Purchasing Department in the definition of subcontracts and standard clauses to be inserted in the SubContract Agreement and in the Purchase Orders Skills and experience
- Knowledge of System Engineering discipline and processes
- Professional experience in managing Customer and Suppliers relationships.
- Capability to interface with people in an international context
- Fluency in Italian and English
- Minimum 8 years proven experience in designing complex solution for System Integration Projects
- Availability to travel
- Experience in design, integration and validation referred to one or more of the below listed systems: - Virtualized architectures (HW, Hypervisor and SW architecture)
- Operational Control Center
- Communication Systems (Fiber Optic, IP Networking, Network Security, PABX and VoIP, WLAN, TETRA, LTE, Structured Cabling, Public Address Systems, etc.)
- Tramway Signalling Systems
- Video Communication Systems (Public Information Displays, Passenger Information Systems, Video Broadcasting Systems, Master Antenna Television, etc.)
- Security Systems (CCTV, Access Control Systems, Intrusion Detection Systems, Digital Video and Voice recording, Fire Protection Systems, etc.)
