- Synthetics at GCAP HQ, you own the end-to-end delivery and evolution of the Synthetics Product Line, including Virtual Platform, Synthetic Environment, and Simulation Framework.
You drive cross-domain integration, validation, and certification support, working with partners to accelerate enterprise solutions.
You’ll shape roadmaps, ensure quality, and enable interoperability across tools and hardware, contributing to digital thread and evidence-based assurance.
This role combines engineering leadership with program delivery in a dynamic defense and aerospace context.ResponsibilitiesOwn delivery and lifecycle management of Synthetics products and services (Virtual Platform, Synthetic Environment, Simulation Framework, etc.)Translate business and engineering needs into roadmaps and prioritized backlogsDefine and enforce processes, data models, and governance for SyntheticsEnsure on-time delivery within scope, budget, and quality targetsManage upgrades, obsolescence, and deployment across toolchains and environmentsCoordinate delivery across internal teams, partners, suppliers, and enabling functions with clear ownershipMonitor performance, fidelity, risk, and capacity for campaigns and milestonesDrive continuous improvement, incident resolution, and service reliabilityFoster interoperability across tools and simulator hardware aligned to digital thread principlesEngage with vendors, system integrators, and cloud/infrastructure providers; support contract and SLA managementLead technical change to embed digital thread ways of working and training materialsEnsure regulatory, safety, quality, and audit traceability from models to certification evidenceMaintain configuration management and release governance for models, interfaces, and softwareQualificationsMinimum 5 years in a sim
