And that’s where you come in. /p h3Job Description /h3 pAssure the design and implementation of the Physical Security System (CCTV, Access Control System, Intrusion Detection System, Physical Security Integrated Management System, Video Analytics) in order to achieve the required time, quality and cost benchmarks for tender and project contracts. /p h3Accountabilities /h3 ul liAnalyze customer Physical Security system specifications, decomposing the statements within such specifications into requirements. /li liIdentify gaps between customer requirements and company products. /li liCreate requirement documents, including high level design documents, interface control design documents, and requirements traceability documents. /li liIdentify and resolve Physical Security interfaces. /li liPrepare preliminary design, detail design and installation design. /li liServe as the primary technical interface to the customer throughout the lifecycle of the project. /li liInterface with internal customers (project managers, construction managers, project engineers, application engineers) and external stakeholders (customers, contractors, local authorities, external assessor) to ensure consistent communication. /li liDevelop and execute commissioning plans, including resourcing, logistics, and scheduling. Onsite lead for commissioning and acceptance testing. /li liCoordinate work sequences, schedules, resources and punch list items. /li liCollaborate with stakeholders to define and execute testing protocols to achieve commercial operation based on contractual requirements. /li liFollow up of the Sub‑Contractors. /li liOversee commissioning and acceptance testing of the entire plant safely. /li liProvide local/remote technical support and troubleshooting during commissioning and operation as needed. /li liDevelop customer training and handoff material for internal and external OM teams and a train‑the‑trainer program to enable safe operations. /li liCreate professional commissioning and testing reports for internal stakeholders and external customers. /li liDrive continuous improvement by capturing technical problem‑solving knowledge for other organisations. /li liOwn administrative responsibilities including service reports, issue logging/tracking, job safety analysis, and quality compliance. /li liAdapt to different cultures and international environments, establishing relationships that create business vantaggi. /li liAct with awareness of the impacts of own work on the whole company system and the economic consequences on client and organisational perspectives; propose simple and efficient solutions to meet customer needs. /li /ul h3Required Skills / Knowledge /h3 ul liKnowledge and understanding of current CCTV technology, including interpretation of user requirements, specification of CCTV cameras, PTZ solutions, encoding/decoding and compression protocols, video data interfacing/transmissions, mobile and central video recorders, operator control solutions, display panels, video analysis, integration with Physical Security Management System. /li liKnowledge of protection of personnel, hardware, programmes, networks, and data from physical circumstances that could cause serious loss or damage to a transportation system (fire, natural disasters, vandalism). /li liKnowledge and understanding of Intrusion and Access Control Systems, perimeter intrusion detection systems, integration with Fire Detection Systems or SCADA, user access permission configuration, biometric identification. /li liDesign and integration of CCTV, ACS, IDS and PSIM subsystems in a Railway environment. /li liKnowledge of standards and norms related to Physical Security systems. /li liPerform commissioning and testing. /li liConduct site surveys and analysis. /li liPhysical Security system troubleshooting. /li liBasic knowledge of wiring, connectivity, cabinets, cable paths, and connections to Civil Works. /li liBasic knowledge of Railway Signalling and Railway Engineering (electric traction, stray currents, remote control). /li /ul h3Desired Skills / Knowledge /h3 ul liBasic knowledge of communication protocols (Ethernet, TCP/IP, Modbus). /li liBasic knowledge of Safety Integrity Level standards (hardware and software). /li liBasic knowledge of SCADA systems. /li liBasic knowledge of maintenance principles, database, protocols for data transfer and collection, configuration of maintenance assets, work orders, warehouse management and spare parts. /li liBasic knowledge of Maintenance Management Systems in railways and mass transit. /li liBasic knowledge of Axis cameras, VMS and ACS devices. /li liBasic knowledge of Bosch cameras, VMS and ACS devices. /li liBasic knowledge of Genetec Security Center. /li liBasic knowledge of Milestone VMS. /li /ul h3Education / Qualifications /h3 ul liMaster’s degree in Electronic, Electrical Engineering or Computer / Information Science. /li liMinimum 5 years of Physical Security System Engineering expertise. /li liRailway experience preferred; other large‑scale projects (Oil Gas, power, airports) also considered. /li /ul pLanguages: Italian (fluent), English (fluent). /p pThank you for your interest in Hitachi Rail.
