Details of Position
Our school, Much More Than English, needs an EFL teacher from October 2026 to the end of June 2027 with possibility of extension. We offer a full-time contract of 28 hours a week. We teach all ages and all linguistic levels from A1 to C2. We are an official Cambridge Gold Preparation Centre. The school building is new and has all the mod-cons.
School Description:
We are a friendly, professional school and official Cambridge Gold Preparation Centre. Classes are made up of maximum 8 students per class, divided by age and level.
We offer quality language teaching to students of all ages (children and preschool children, teens and adults) and levels, in small groups or 1:1. We teach General English and Cambridge exam preparation. Lessons take place from Monday to Saturday mostly in the afternoons though some classes take place in the mornings. The school is located in the new area of Modugno (a stone's throw from Bari, lively picturesque capital of Puglia in the south of Italy on the coast) with 4 classrooms, 1 with interactive whiteboard and all necessary equipment provided in each one.
Qualifications
The ideal applicant:
- Must be a native level English speaker
- Must have a University Degree
- Must have a CELTA/DELTA or TEFL qualification or equivalent
- Preferably teaching experience of a minimum of two years- Preferably have teaching experience outside the UK
- Must have a clean DBS check- Must provide OFFICIAL contact details of referees (no hotmail, gmail etc)
We are looking for a teacher with the right character and with a passion for teaching, someone who is dynamic, creative, friendly and fun. A professional, reliable, punctual teacher.
Candidates should be well-organised, responsible and enthusiastic about working with young learners.
Salary and Benefits
Contract from October 2026 to June 2027.
The full-time contract is up to 28 teaching hours per week (please specify if you are looking for a tempo parziale contract and we will provide you with the necessary information during the interview). The rate of pay is 1,300 euros after taxes per month; more than teaching 110 hours per month is paid overtime. Working hours Monday to Saturday. Legal contract with Italian contributions paid.
The position involves carefully planning and preparing all lessons. This will include establishing objectives and ensuring progress is made in achieving pre-established goals.
All teachers receive on-going training and free Italian lessons throughout the year.
We can come and pick you up from the airport when you arrive and give you any necessary initial support upon arrival.
