This entails a demonstration of strong leadership on project execution. The candidate will lead the team and enable coordination, execution and communication across multiple engineering product lines within the single project. They will be responsible to develop an industry leading Project Engineering organization focused on delivering projects on time while driving engineering productivity. /p pEssential Responsibilities may be changed upon the needs for each project and team solutions. The following is an indication of the covered detailed Responsibilities for the role. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liAccountable for detailed engineering integrated planning and project resource allocation starting from the tender project plan to detailed execution engineering plan /li liAccountable for timely deliverable of customer documentation and alignment to internal integrated planning /li liResponsible to drive a robust tender to execute process /li liTo drive collaboration across the MDC execution functions and locations, and strong collaboration across the MDC/SPS Engineering teams. /li liBe a positive example to demonstrate the company’s values of Grow, Collaborate, Lead and Care. /li liDemonstrating accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. Delivering improved safety, quality, reduced cost and cycle through product structuring and optimized processes and tools. /li liContributing to the overall strategy for the business and MDC/SPS Engineering organization and manage complex issues within functional areas of expertise /li liDriving safety, quality, delivery and cost culture within Subsea Distribution Engineering and the broader organization /li liEffectively communicating with the customers (Product Management, P/L leaders, Project teams) to assure quality products are delivered. /li liLead projects scheduled reviews that track progress through KPIs and spending/productivity by team /li liMonitor, explain and resolve any resource allocation issue working closely with the GMDC Engineering Managers. /li liDrive on‑time delivery and engineering productivity through regular meetings and detailed team engagement /li liEstablish cost analysis based on tasks and milestones. Track and trend all MDC engineering spending as required and necessary. /li liEscalate issues if needed into systems or the product team leadership to resolve. /li liPartner with systems engineering to identify and resolve any changes in specifications or product requirements. /li liMaster’s or Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with previous experience in process improvements, engineering and/or project management). /li liPrevious experience in positions as testing, project engineering, system engineering, project management or process improvements. /li /ul h3To be successful in this role /h3 ul liThe position will require significant experience from the Oil Gas industry combined with experience from other relevant industries. /li liExperience in leading multi‑disciplined and remote engineering teams /li liGood technical background with a good knowledge of subsea products and projects /li liStrong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills /li liA demonstrated ability to drive change and a global mindset /li liGood commercial awareness /li liStrong problem solving abilities /li liStrong oral and written communication skills /li liStrong knowledge about project management methods and tools /li /ul h3Desired Characteristics /h3 ul liAbility to guide and lead others not in a direct reporting relationship /li liInitiative and perseverance /li liKnowledge of design and manufacturing / fabrication processes /li /ul h3Work in a way that works for you /h3 pWe recognize that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone too.
