As a Kitchen Porter, you play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of the kitchen environment, ensuring an elevated experience for our guests and seamless support for the culinary team.YOUR RESPONSIBILITIESEnsure a pristine kitchen environment by upholding RH's standards of sanitation and organization across the dish station, ingredient storage areas, trash collection areas and back-of-house spacesDeliver a high-quality experience by thoroughly and efficiently cleaning all plateware, glassware, silverware, cookware and utensils to support flawless service.Build foundational knowledge of RH's menu items and ingredients to better support kitchen operationsCollaborate with Team Members and Leaders to assist with daily food prep, inventory organization and other cleaning responsibilities as neededOUR REQUIREMENTS1+ year of experience in a high-volume, full-service culinary environmentBasic knowledge of food safety standardsLegal authorization to work in the country of application at time of hireMeets the minimum legal age required to serve alcohol, work designated shifts, and perform the full scope of kitchen responsibilities, in accordance with local labor and safety regulationsCommitment to high standards of personal appearance, including adherence to uniform guidelines, grooming, and hygiene practices, to ensure a professional presentation to guestsFlexibility to work xpavfwm weekends, holidays, and variable shifts as business needs requireMaintain heightened awareness and focus to support safety, flawless execution, and seamless coordination within the culinary teamPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSFrequent stooping, bending, and reaching, both overhead and below counter heightLifting or moving items up to 25 kgs using appropriate equipment and safe handling techniquesStanding and walking for extended periods as part of daily work activitiesSafely ascending and descending stairs, with or without carrying food, beverages, or service equipmentOngoing adherence to safety, sanitation, and food-handling standards in a commercial kitchen environment
