Sales Manager Job Description
* As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for negotiating with existing and prospective customers in Italy to drive sales growth.
* You will act as a Key Account Manager for assigned international clients, delivering offers/quotes and ensuring customer satisfaction.
* The role requires close collaboration with the company's management team to define sales strategies, collect necessary information for sale contracts, and communicate with technical teams to propose suitable solutions.
Main Activities:
1. Develop sales strategies for various products to meet customer needs.
2. Cultivate strong relationships with customers through effective communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
3. Identify new business opportunities, especially in relation to replacing Polyamide compounds.
4. Negotiate optimal terms of sale in agreement with the management team.
5. Manage and record customer rates, issue material samples and test requests for the laboratory.
6. BUILD and nurture customer rapport to develop and maintain long-term relationships.
7. Ensure proper application of contracts and planned sales volumes with assigned customers.
8. Anticipate and manage customer risks, financial risks, delivery disruptions, and changes in the customer's structure.
9. Act as an interface between customers and various departments (management, sales, R&D, QHSE, and finance).
Your Profile:
* Effective use of sales and negotiation techniques.
* Detailed knowledge of the plastics industry and processing, especially injection moulding, with a proven track record of successful account management.
* Analytical mindset with ability to adjust to changing market conditions.
* Strong decision-making skills, able to identify and mitigate potential problems with customers.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, allowing effective communication at different levels and with different departments.
* Ability to effectively use MS Office and ERP system.
* Fluency in both Italian and English.
