Hyatt Thompson Rome is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Chef de Rang / Supervisor to join our Food & Beverage outlets.
The ideal candidate will maintain positive guest and colleague interactions, building strong working relationships while ensuring excellent customer service. With a natural flair for lifestyle hospitality and strong communication skills, the Chef de Rang works closely with outlet colleagues in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the hotel and the satisfaction of our guests.
Key Responsibilities
* Seat, take orders, and serve food and beverages to guests according to established sequence and procedures
* Present menus, answer guest inquiries, and make recommendations regarding food, beverage, and service
* Clear and reset tables at the conclusion of each course
* Maintain high standards of hygiene, presentation, and service throughout operations
* Be fully conversant with all aspects of the Micros system
* Demonstrate thorough knowledge and understanding of all food and beverage items on the menu, and the ability to recommend combinations and upsell alternatives
Guest Experience & Service
* Provide a welcoming and professional service to guests during breakfast, lunch, and dinner
* Support special events and high-volume service periods
* Ensure compliance with service and hygiene standards at all times
* Promote a guest-focused and service-driven culture within the outlet
Candidate Profile
* Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related hospitality environment
* High standards of personal presentation and grooming
* Ability to work effectively under pressure, maintaining composure and objectivity
* Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-oriented mindset
* Fluent in Italian and English
