This position supports PPD’s Accelerated Enrollment Solutions (AES) business. The AES BD team is highly dynamic, offering a first-class opportunity to demonstrate your success in securing new business opportunities.AES is the world leader in patient recruitment with a global, identified patient database and a network of 180+ dedicated research sites. Our mission is to provide budget certainty and timeline reduction in patient recruitment.The role will support our Site Network Services, including Late-stage sites, Home trial services, and Early-stage site services.Senior Account Director, Business Development - Site Network ServicesSecures and retains business for PPD through professional, consultative, proactive sales activities aimed at decision-makers and decision influencers at existing and new clinical sponsors. Positions PPD as a primary or preferred provider for clinical development work. Qualifies deals, develops proposals, and recommends solutions and pricing structures to meet strategic goals. Acts as the primary contact until work is sold and coordinates with relevant clinical teams to ensure successful implementation. Gathers market data on trends, competitors, and pricing.Essential FunctionsOrchestrates RFP strategy calls, develops client proposals, prepares presentations, and negotiates contracts. Signs new business authorizations at or above set goals.Makes cold calls and client visits; maintains sales database and activity reports.Ensures client satisfaction through regular contact; reports and develops recommendations to address dissatisfaction; responds to client requests.Mentors and trains junior staff.Experience with site networks is preferred.Business RelationshipsRepresents the department as a primary contact on projects. Interacts with internal and external personnel, often coordinating across functions.
