Position Overview :
The Technical Support Specialist ensures proper computer operations for end users to accomplish organizational tasks effectively and efficiently. This role involves receiving, prioritizing, documenting, and resolving end user help requests, which may include diagnostics, help request tracking tools, and hands-on desktop support.
Key Responsibilities :
* Monitor and support end user hardware and software proactively.
* Prioritize workload to address critical issues promptly.
* Install, upgrade, and configure hardware and software.
* Test new hardware and software before deployment.
* Maintain mobile security and virus protection software.
* Manage hardware and software inventory.
* Support content management systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
* Manage web environments, including maintenance, security, testing, and content updates.
* Assist with VOIP phone systems, cellphones, and printers as backup support.
* Create and maintain user documentation for help desk support.
* Ensure equipment remains operational through repairs and maintenance.
* Maintain confidentiality of organizational information.
* Participate in ongoing education and professional development.
* Ensure compliance with HIPAA and licensing agreements.
* Contribute to disaster preparedness and data security plans.
Minimum Requirements :
High School diploma or GED is required; a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or IT is preferred. At least two years of experience in a technology-related role, with helpdesk or user support experience preferred. Familiarity with Microsoft products (Azure, Office 365, SharePoint), operating systems, troubleshooting, and maintenance is required. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills are essential.
