Account & Business Development Manager - Nature Positive to join Etifor | Valuing Nature.
The ideal candidate is passionate about driving systemic change for nature and climate and has a proven ability in working with large corporations and multinational companies relating to climate and nature related topics.

Role and responsibilities
The ideal candidate will contribute to the overall growth of the company by developing new business opportunities and markets, and by managing key accounts, in two focus areas: Nature-positive strategies (LUCAS approach) and Net Zero Climate Strategies (MARC approach).
This includes:
Overseeing the development of budgets and proposals
Negotiating contracts
Identifying and implementing selling strategies
Cultivating and managing key clients
Upselling and cross-selling services
Preparing and reviewing proposals for grant tenders
The ideal candidate must have proven experience in proposing and selling climate and nature-related services and in-depth knowledge of topics, frameworks and standards such as TCFD; TNDF; SBTi; SBTN; CSRD; FSC; VERRA, among others.
The candidate will also support the Sales and Business Development Team in prospecting for new clients and in proposing and selling other potential services.
Qualifications
Education
Master's degree in a relevant environmental or sustainability field (e.g., environmental science, ecology, environmental economics, environmental engineering, sustainability management).
Candidates with different educational backgrounds will be considered if consistent with the role.
Experience
Minimum 3 years of professional experience required (preferably 5+ years) in Key Account Management/Sales and Business Development related to environmental consulting services.
Experience coordinating with cross-functional teams; familiarity with climate standards and regulations or nature-based solutions is a plus.
Required skills and Competencies
Fluency in Italian (spoken and written);
C1 level English proficiency (spoken and written);
Strong target setting and proven ability to meet targets;
Team-oriented and capable of coordinating with colleagues across programs;
Excellent communication skills to promote the company and represent it at events and international panels;
Familiarity with climate standards and frameworks such as GHG Protocol and SBTi Net Zero Standard;
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities;
