As a Account Manager you will be responsible for driving the development and management of an enterprise client portfolio, proposing complex IT and system integration projects. Additionally, they will play a key role in participating in strategic tenders, collaborating with leading IT players in the Italian market to deliver innovative, high-value solutions. Key Responsibilities Develop and manage a portfolio of enterprise clients within Financial Services and Energy & Utilities, focusing on digital transformation initiatives, application integration, and core process modernization. Lead the design and delivery of system integration solutions (application integration, APIs, digital platforms, CRM, data platforms, omnichannel solutions), collaborating with internal technical teams and GELLIFY ecosystem partners (e.g. digital boutiques and system integrators). Manage the full consultative sales cycle : opportunity origination, needs analysis, value proposition design, preparation of technical and commercial proposals, negotiation, and deal closing. Participate in public and private tenders as prime contractor, consortium partner (ATI), or subcontractor alongside major IT players operating in the Italian Top 100 (e.g. Accenture, Reply, IBM, and leading system integrators). Build and maintain structured relationships with key Italian IT players (Top 100 and best-in-class system integrators) to develop alliances, framework agreements, and joint market propositions. Contribute to the definition and evolution of GELLIFY’s value propositions in IT consulting and system integration, integrating software assets, open innovation capabilities, and execution excellence. Lead multidisciplinary project teams (consulting, design, technology), ensuring delivery quality, project profitability, and high levels of client satisfaction. Support marketing and business development activities (events, thought leadership content, social initiatives, innovation ecosystem partnerships) to strengthen GELLIFY’s positioning in the Italian market. Requirements 8–12 years of experience in IT consulting firms, system integrators, or digital boutiques, with accountability for complex accounts and projects. Strong knowledge of the Italian IT market and its key players, with established relationships at management and practice leader level. Proven experience within Italian system integrators, with a solid track record in large-scale client projects, tender participation, RFP/RFQ management, preparation of technical and commercial documentation, and coordination of consortia or subcontracting agreements. Demonstrated experience in delivering system integration solutions, including application architectures, legacy-to-cloud integration, digital platforms, and data & analytics solutions. Strong ability to sell high-value consulting services and translate business needs into end-to-end technical solutions, in close collaboration with architects and delivery managers. Preferred Qualifications Established track record and network in one or more of the following sectors: Financial Services (banking, insurance, financial institutions) Energy & Utilities (multi-utilities, energy retailers, grid operators) Solid P&L management capabilities across projects and portfolios (budgeting, pricing, margins, capacity planning). Good knowledge of microservices architectures, API integration, middleware, cloud solutions (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), and major enterprise platforms used in financial services and energy & utilities. Familiarity with digital transformation and innovation initiatives such as customer and employee experience, omnichannel platforms, data platforms, process automation, AI and advanced analytics. Experience working with agile and hybrid delivery methodologies (Agile, Scrum, hybrid waterfall). Soft Skills Strong entrepreneurial mindset with a results-driven attitude and proven ability to generate new business (“ hunting ” mindset). Excellent relationship-building and networking skills with C-level executives, technology partners, and internal and external stakeholders. Leadership in cross-functional teams, with a coaching-oriented approach to people development. Strong consulting mindset, problem-solving capabilities, and effective client storytelling. Native-level Italian (or equivalent) and excellent written and spoken English, to operate in international client and partner contexts. Location: Milan or Bologna (hybrid)
