Position Summary
We are seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to support cold chain and refrigeration customers across Italy. This highly application‑focused role requires strong understanding of refrigeration systems and customer applications.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as a technical interface between customers, OEM R&D teams and internal engineering functions, supporting projects from specification and system design through commissioning and lifecycle support.
* Support the internal NPD process and act as the central technical contact between OEM R&D teams and internal engineering teams.
* Create, structure and maintain high‑quality technical documentation supporting field applications.
* Provide technical support during specification and refrigeration system design activities.
* Assist customers in selecting appropriate refrigeration and HVAC equipment based on technical and operational requirements.
* Conduct product demonstrations and provide technical sales support throughout the sales process.
* Deliver ongoing technical support throughout the product lifecycle.
* Support implementation, commissioning and troubleshooting of refrigeration systems.
* Build strong relationships with high‑profile customers through regular engagement and customer visits.
* Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and emerging refrigeration technologies.
* Collaborate internally with other Technical Sales Engineers to share technical knowledge and field experience.
* For senior‑level profiles, participate in account planning sessions and identify upsell and cross‑sell opportunities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
* Experience within refrigeration, cold chain or commercial cooling applications.
* Strong understanding of how refrigeration products are applied within customer systems and end‑user environments.
* Experience supporting OEMs, contractors, end users or competitors within the refrigeration market.
* Strong customer‑facing communication and technical problem‑solving skills.
* Ability to provide both remote technical support and onsite customer engagement.
* Fluent Italian language skills are essential.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
* Previous experience as an Application Engineer or Technical Sales Engineer.
* Experience supporting strategic or high‑profile customer accounts.
* Ability to work autonomously.
* Existing network within the Italian refrigeration or cold chain market.
* Remote candidates should ideally have at least 3 years of relevant industry experience.
* Candidates located near Saronno or Belluno would be advantageous, although remote working can be considered for the right profile.
