Fluency in Italian

* 3+ years of technical engineering experience
* Experience in operational parameters and troubleshooting for one (1) of the following: Compute, Storage, Networking, CDN, Databases, DevOps, Big Data and Analytics, Security, Applications Development in a distributed systems environment
* Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Math, or related discipline required, OR 5 years of equivalent work experience

AWS Enterprise Support, Technical Account Managers (TAM), support our customers’ innovative spirit across technologies including Compute, Storage, Database, Big Data, Application Services, Networking, Serverless, Deployment, Security, and more. This is not a sales role but an opportunity to be the principal technical advisor and ‘voice of the customer’ to organizations ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 enterprises.

The Role

As a TAM, you will craft and execute strategies to drive customer adoption and use of AWS services—such as EC2, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, Lambda, CloudFront CDN, IoT, and others. Your technical expertise and customer-facing skills will enable you to effectively represent AWS within a customer’s environment, and lead discussions with senior leadership regarding incidents, trade-offs, support, and risk management.

You will provide advocacy and strategic technical guidance to help plan and build solutions using best practices, proactively keeping your customers’ AWS environments operationally healthy. Building close relationships will help you understand their business and technical challenges, and help them maximize value from AWS. Travel of 10% or more may be required.

Key job responsibilities

1. Build solutions, provide technical guidance, and advocate for the customer
2. Ensure AWS environments remain operationally healthy while reducing cost and complexity
3. Develop trusting relationships with customers, understanding their business needs and technical challenges
4. Drive technical discussions on incidents, trade-offs, and risk management using your technical acumen and customer obsession
5. Consult with a range of partners from developers to C-suite executives
6. Collaborate with AWS Solutions Architects, Business Developers, Professional Services, and Sales Managers
7. Proactively identify opportunities for customers to gain additional value from AWS
8. Provide detailed reviews of service disruptions, metrics, and pre-launch planning
9. Solve diverse problems as customers migrate workloads to the cloud
10. Enhance customer capabilities through workshops, training, etc.

A day in the life

The TAM team provides proactive, world-class support by building technical relationships across all levels within the customer organization, from engineers to C-level executives. We enable customers to focus on their core missions by removing roadblocks via the AWS platform.

About the team

The Italian team comprises TAMs and Enterprise Support Managers from diverse backgrounds, dedicated to supporting our enterprise customers’ cloud journeys with tailored support to meet their needs.

1. Meet or exceed Amazon’s leadership principles for this role
2. Demonstrate functional and technical depth and complexity
3. 5+ years of technical engineering experience
4. Operational parameters and troubleshooting experience in two or more areas: Compute, Storage, Networking, CDN, Databases, DevOps, Big Data, Security, Applications Development
5. Experience in Information Technology
