Responsibilities
The role, focused on the coordination of a work team aimed at the development of powertrain integration components for high volume production vehicles series, requires at least 2-3 years of experience in the automotive sector. S/He will take an active part in:
1. Definition of technical contents needed to ensure proper parts definition;
2. Overview and steer the Team during the complete project timeline;
3. Control/monitoring of timing, costs and quality of work;
4. Management of the work team, product suppliers and management of collaboration with other internal department;
5. Customer and suppliers management;
6. Achievement of the project’s technical targets relevant to the perimeter of responsibility;
7. Management of "escalation" activities relating to serious problems with a proposed solution.

Key requirements
8. Knowledge of the powertrain integration systems (guidelines for definition of the systems, best practices, costs and time);
9. Production technologies and tooling lead time (main materials used, welding, surface treatments, linings);
10. Material technologies (material characteristics);
11. Ability to transform technical contents/targets into economic constraints and geometric constraints into feasible process solutions;
12. Development and design techniques and processes (design review, robust design, FMEA);
13. Ability to organize/motivate a teamwork depending on needs and contingent situations;
14. Problem solving, ability to synthesize information, priority management, proactivity, flexibility, resilience;
15. Intermediation capacity between his/her own team and the other teams involved;
16. Ability to manage component and system suppliers, as well as development suppliers;
17. Decision making skills combined with an assertive and persuasive leadership style;
18. Multitasking ability respecting the quality standards and required timelines;
19. Ability to anticipate, manage critical situations and provide effective solutions;
20. Negotiation skill;
21. Technical drawing and modeling constraints.
Preferential requirements
22. CAD basic knowledge (Catia V5 and Creo and data release systems);
23. Quality standards, processes, dynamics typical of an OEM car manufacturer;
24. Knowledge of component verification methods and procedures (e.g., testing specifications);
25. Ability to disseminate and transfer methodology and know-how in his/her own project team and to the rest of the department teams;
26. Legislative/homologation/rating constraints related to perimeter of competence.
Other Informations
Education: Master’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive Engineering or equivalent.
Language skills: Fluent knowledge of written and spoken English is required and knowledge of German would be appreciated.
