Role Overview
This dynamic role presents an exciting opportunity to spearhead the growth of Meril’s Endo-Surgery business, partnering with a select network of leading surgeons to bring innovative reconstructive therapies to patients—transforming outcomes and meaningfully enhancing quality of life
The Business Development Manager (BDM)'s role is to promote and sell Meril Endo-Surgery products to healthcare professionals (HCPs), such as surgeons and hospitals. The primary objective is to increase product and brand awareness and improve sales performance within the assigned territory.
The BDM is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with healthcare professionals, providing product information and presentations, monitoring competitor activity, and achieving defined sales goals. This role plays a crucial role in educating HCPs on the features and benefits of Meril's Endo-Surgery product portfolio and ensuring safe and effective intraoperative use of the products.
The Business Development Manager (BDM) position is a field sales role for the Meril Endo-Surgery portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Performance and Relationship Management:
Monitoring field sales and business development within the assigned territory, promoting products within the operating rooms, monitoring territory performance, and achieving defined revenue, growth, and quality objectives in collaboration with the Area Sales Manager (ASM).
Business Development:
Develop and execute initiatives to increase product penetration and achieve sustainable growth, identify and develop new business opportunities aligned with the commercial strategy.
Management of Key Customer and Stakeholder Relationships:
Serve as the primary point of contact for key clinical and procurement stakeholders, building and maintaining long-term, value-based customer relationships.
Clinical Expertise, Training, and Professional Education:
Provide clinical and technical support during product introduction and intraoperative use, and deliver targeted product training, workshops, and professional development programs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration and Ethical Practices:
Work closely with internal teams to ensure efficient customer service and order management, and act in full compliance with ethical standards, company policies, and local regulations.
Your Profile
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification
Over 3 years of successful experience in medical device sales or hospital settings
Strong clinical and technical knowledge
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
Highly motivated, structured, and results-oriented
Availability to travel; residency in the local area is required.
Endosurgery experience and fluent English are strong advantages
