For our client, a global cruise ship operator, we are looking for a Guest Commerce Director with a strong commercial mindset and a strategic-analytical approach to join onboard.
This role is a senior leadership position on the ship.
By overseeing all revenue-generating activities (e.g., Casino, Spa, F&B, excursions, etc.) and integrating the most effective sales strategies, the successful candidate will ensure alignment with company standards and objectives, maximizing onboard profitability and supporting the achievement of revenue and guest satisfaction targets.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Analyzes data and guest mix to develop and balance commercial strategies on a cruise-by-cruise basis - Interprets retail KPIs and converts those insights into practical strategies to boost commercial results and align with company goals. - Monitors instant feedback systems, guest purchase behaviors and consumption trends, suggesting appropriate actions to optimize commercial performance. - Delivers timely updates on onboard commercial and entertainment activities to shoreside teams, supporting continuous improvement. - Keeps the Hotel Director updated on any variances in planned activities affecting revenue targets and generation, with particular attention to quality and service concerns. - Organizes the team effectively by planning duties with equity and allocating responsibilities, setting clear objectives to be achieved. - Manages on-board revenues and meets related targets.
Skills and requirements:
- Previous onboard experience will be considered a strong plus - Solid experience in commercial/sales roles within hospitality or multi-revenue environments - Strong leadership skills and experience managing international teams - Strong analytical mindset and results-oriented approach - Excellent command of English (C1 level); knowledge of Italian and a third language among French/German/Spanish/Portuguese/Chinese (Mandarin) will be considered a plus
