Role Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Commis de Partie to join our culinary brigade. The ideal candidate is an aspiring chef eager to learn and grow within a high-end environment. You will support the Chef de Partie in daily operations, ensuring that every preparation meets Aman's exacting standards of excellence.
Key Responsibilities
* Mise-en-place: Prepare ingredients and set up the station for service, ensuring absolute freshness and quality of all raw materials.
* Operational Support: Assist the Chef de Partie and Demi Chef de Partie during preparation and service times (breakfast, lunch, or dinner).
* Quality Standards: Execute recipes and preparations strictly following the Chef's instructions, maintaining consistency and precision.
* Hygiene & Safety: Maintain a spotless and organized workstation, strictly adhering to HACCP regulations and Aman's food safety standards.
* Waste Management: Operate carefully to minimize food waste, aligning with our sustainability philosophy.
* Inventory & Storage: Assist in receiving goods and ensuring correct storage and rotation of products in the cold rooms (FIFO).
Qualifications & Requirements
* Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience in similar roles within 5-star luxury hotels or fine-dining restaurants.
* Education: Culinary school diploma or professional cooking certification.
* Languages: Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of Italian or German is a distinct advantage.
* Technical Skills: Solid understanding of basic cooking techniques, knife skills, and food preparation methods.
