Role Description
Key Account Manager – Modern Trade (Beverage FMCG)
Mission:
Drive MBARE Drinks’ entry into national and international supermarket chains by securing listings and building strong retail partnerships.
Responsibilities:
Identify and approach category buyers in key chains
Secure new product listings
Negotiate pricing, margin, and promotional agreements
Develop annual retail sales strategy
Coordinate trade marketing activities
Manage sell‑in and support sell‑out performance
Requirements:
4+ years in FMCG Modern Trade sales
Proven track record of securing listings
Strong buyer network
Experience in beverage category
Entrepreneurial mindsetFluent English (Italian preferred)
This is a part‑time hybrid role for a Key Account Manager – Modern Trade (Beverage FMCG) based in Catania, with the flexibility to work from home for certain tasks. The Key Account Manager will be responsible for managing relationships with key accounts in the modern trade sector, negotiating and executing business plans, analyzing sales data, and ensuring that customers receive excellent service. Core duties include achieving sales targets, identifying growth opportunities, collaborating with internal teams, and maintaining strong partnerships with key clients to drive mutual business success.
Qualifications
Proficiency in Account Management and managing Key Accounts within the modern trade segment
Experience in Business Planning and identifying growth opportunities with a strategic approach
Strong Analytical Skills for interpreting sales data, market trends, and performance metrics
Exceptional Customer Service skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including negotiation abilities
Proven experience in the FMCG or beverage industry is highly beneficial
