RINA is currently recruiting for a Business Development Manager - Certification Services | Southern-Central Italy to join its office in Roma, Napoli or Catania (Italy) within the Mediterranean & Africa Certification Division.
Mission
The mission of a Business Development Manager (BDM) is to drive growth and expand business opportunities for the organization. The Business Development Manager is responsible for increasing the pipeline offering and winning contracts for an assigned services portfolio and/or within an assigned geographical coverage.
Qualifications
- Substantial experience in business development, sales, or related roles, typically 3-5 years or more, with a focus on Industrial Services and mandatory services.
- Proficient in sales techniques, including prospecting, lead generation, and closing deals, with a track record of achieving sales targets.
- Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms and agreements.
- Analytical thinking to assess market trends, competitor activities, and performance metrics.
- In-depth industry knowledge, including market trends and competitive landscape.
- Familiarity with relevant technologies and tools, including CRM systems.
Key Accountabilities
1. Drive and Monitor Order Intake Pipeline:
- Manage the sales pipeline for a steady flow of orders.
- Monitor KPIs related to order intake.
2. Update Pipeline with New Prospects:
- Identify and add new potential clients.
- Conduct research to assess prospects.
3. Lead and Support on Contracts, Tenders, and Quotations:
- Negotiate and secure major contracts.
- Support in preparing tenders and quotations.
4. Contract Closing and Lessons Learned:
- Lead activities to close contracts.
- Capture lessons learned for future improvement.
5. Cross Selling and Mutual Opportunities:
- Collaborate internally to identify cross-selling opportunities.
- Develop strategies for mutual opportunities.
6. Competitor Tracking and Intelligence:
- Monitor competitor activities and industry trends.
- Use intelligence to adapt strategies.
7. Sales and Business Development Initiatives:
- Generate new sales and opportunities.
- Conduct client visits and manage relationships.
8. Alliances and Partnerships:
- Identify and explore partnership opportunities.
- Collaborate externally to expand markets.
9. Customer Engagement and Satisfaction:
- Engage with customers to understand needs.
- Support customer satisfaction and market development.
10. Stay Current with Offerings and Technology Solutions:
- Keep updated on company offerings.
- Communicate technological solutions to clients.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering General
