The award-winning ghd tools are used by 200,000 stylists around the world and sold in 30+ countries and more than 45,000 premium salons.Renowned for game changing innovation and superior performance, at ghd we are on a mission to transform lives with the power of a good hair day!ROLE OVERVIEWThe Category Manager is a key member of ghd marketing team and is responsible for supporting the company growth through the management, positioning, communication and commercialisation of the latest innovations divided by product categories.Through detailed research and analysis of customer purchasing behaviours, the category manager will customise category offerings to meet customer demands, ensuring growth and alignment with the company's broader marketing strategy.JOB ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIESMarket Intelligence:Category and competitor market shares (value and volume)Competitor analysis including strategy, product range, pricing and how they link up to consumer trendsLead the understanding, analysis, and documentation of competitor activity to ensure competitor understanding is front and central in our planning and activationPricing local analysis and proposalsMonitor and evaluate category performance, leveraging key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective measuresGenerate regular polls and reporting with internal team providing launch and campaign feedbacksRecommend new product concepts based on category knowledge, market intelligence and input from marketsAnalyse new product attributes & requirements, concept, claims, pricing and positioning in market to optimise product reach, sales & profitDesign an annual promotional plan for each category to deliver national marketing plan, sales objectives, customer and consumer needsEnsure Category profitability, growth and alignment with the company's boarder marketing strategy.A strong affinity for Digital with full understanding of Social Media networks / channels and their triggersCollaborates with cross functional teams to secure 360 support across channels to drive category performance in line with the category A+CP budget goals.Communication and Go to Market:Develop local assets supporting launches for all channelsWork alongside the commercial department to assist in developing local promotional marketing plans, giving input and suggestions on how they fit with the local strategies and assetsKEY SKILLS & ATTRIBUTESMarketing qualification or equivalent5-8 years Category Management experience, pricing strategiesFull proficiency in EnglishFull proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint and ExcelStrong analytical skillsStrong affinity with beauty and trends is a plusAdvanced experience with Excel, or other analytical/Business Intelligence toolsWhat we offer:Training: We support everyone's professional growth and believe in lifelong learning;Lavoro da remoto: Creative – We foster creativity & excellence to create value for our brands and business.Courageous - We are agile, entrepreneurial & we own our futureConnected - We stay connected and ensure we are always consumer first.
