JOB DESCRIPTION
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes to brand standards.
- Supervise and guide Commis II in daily preparation tasks.
- Ensure mise en place is prepared efficiently for service.
- Maintain hygiene and safety standards (HACCP).
- Support Chef de Partie in stock control and waste reduction.
- Ensure equipment and work areas are kept clean and organized.
CONNECTION
- Collaborate with colleagues to deliver seamless kitchen operations.
- Mentor and support Commis II to build skills and confidence.
- Communicate with service staff to ensure smooth guest experiences.
INNOVATION
- Suggest improvements in preparation and cooking processes.
- Learn and apply modern cooking techniques under supervision.
- Contribute ideas for daily specials or menu items.
CURATION
- Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and portioning.
- Support the use of seasonal and local ingredients in dishes.
- Ensure guest satisfaction through high-quality preparation.
LEADING THE WAY
- Be a role model for hygiene, punctuality, and professionalism.
- Promote teamwork and a positive kitchen culture.
- Support ESG practices such as minimizing waste and saving energy.
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
- At least 1–2 years’ experience as Commis II or similar role in hospitality.
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food safety standards.
- Ability to work under pressure in a busy kitchen.
- Fluent in English and Italian.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
