Renishaw Spa is the Italian subsidiary that markets and supports all Renishaw products in Italy and abroad. Following a growth of operations in the AM sector, we are looking for a new teammate to join us as an Additive Manufacturing Sales Engineer based in Italy.


The role

The role aims to grow the market for Renishaw AM by interacting closely with prospects, customers, and partners throughout the full sales cycle—from market research to sales of equipment, services, and upgrades. A significant part of the job involves working with potential customers to help incorporate AM into their manufacturing processes. This opportunity suits motivated and driven individuals eager to develop a growing market. Personal traits such as tenacity and perseverance are essential to support customers in adopting our advanced equipment.


Main responsibilities

1. Drive users and prospects towards adopting Renishaw AM technology.
2. Develop destination markets by scouting for applications and building relationships.
3. Identify and develop strategies for long-term key projects to meet sales and growth targets.
4. Provide and discuss quotations and cost estimates.
5. Participate in exhibitions and trade events.
6. Maintain CRM to support accurate forecasting and pipeline management.
7. Ensure regular product training to stay updated.


Key requirements

1. University or high school degree in a technical subject or economics.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in direct sales of capital equipment.
3. Customer-oriented attitude.
4. Fluent in Italian and English (spoken and written).
5. Willingness to travel frequently within Italy and occasionally abroad.
6. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
7. IT literacy.
8. Category B driving license.
9. Ability to work effectively with teams, results-oriented, self-motivated, and well-organized.
10. Methodical approach to problem-solving, even under stress.
11. Flexible, open-minded, and adaptable to changing environments.
