What will you work on?
The Key Account Manager is the lead point of contact for all matters specific to his/her customers. They are responsible for building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships, overseeing customer account management, including negotiating contracts and agreements to maximise profit.
How will you create impact?
* Developing annual business plans that deliver upon company goals and meet customer needs
* Deliver product presentations, business proposals and ad plans to customers on time
* Understand customer timelines and proactively provide all necessary information and materials for decision-making
* Work with support team to develop and update forecasts reflecting market realities, at least monthly
* Review actual performance regularly to ensure goals are met and adjust plans as needed
* Manage customer budgets and update salesforce accordingly
* Analyze sell-through data and market intelligence to maximize opportunities and minimize risks
* Communicate clearly and efficiently with customers, providing quick solutions to challenges
* Collaborate proactively with team members to deliver excellent customer service
* Provide feedback and coaching within the account management team
* Gain a thorough understanding of account business objectives and marketing plans through multi-level and cross-functional contacts
* Develop innovative sales and marketing account plans to maximize performance
* Coordinate trade marketing and activities to meet volume, distribution, and profit targets
* Maximize account profitability through strategic planning, promotional work, and data analysis
* Negotiate at senior levels to optimize long-term agreements and marketing mix
* Ensure accurate forecasting and timely stock delivery in collaboration with planning team
* Be flexible regarding accounts managed
* Lead by example to foster a solution-oriented culture
* Maintain and develop strong commercial and personal relationships, ensuring Spin Master remains a preferred supplier
What are your skills and experience?
* Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or related field
* 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the toy industry
* Experience managing a business portfolio with a national retailer, toy retailer preferred
* Retail experience at store level or in retail planning is an asset
* Customer-driven approach and a proactive attitude
* Ability to build and maintain relationships internally and externally
* Proficiency in MS Office; Salesforce experience is a plus
* Strong organizational, planning, and communication skills
* Goal-oriented with self-motivation, persistence, and determination
* Ability to create business presentations and read POS reports
* Willingness to travel and possess a full clean driving license
