As one of the world’s largest integrated pulp and paper companies, with over 100,000 employees worldwide, APP delivers quality products to more than 150 countries through world-class manufacturing and a robust international sales network.\n\nAPP Group is seeking a Sales Manager – Brand Owners & Strategic Accounts to develop and grow long-term partnerships with brand owners in the food and consumer packaging sectors across Italy.\n\nWe welcome candidates from commercial sales, customer development, or strategic procurement backgrounds who have deep experience in Paperboard or Packaging categories and strong exposure to supplier–customer negotiations.\n\nYour Role\nDevelop and manage senior relationships with brand owners in food, beverage, and consumer packaging\nAct as the primary commercial interface for assigned strategic accounts\nLead commercial discussions and negotiations including pricing models, volume commitments, and long-term agreements\nDrive account growth, portfolio expansion, and supply partnerships\nTranslate brand owner priorities (cost, quality, sustainability, supply security) into commercial solutions\nWork closely with HQ, technical, and sustainability teams\nProvide market insights on paperboard, packaging, and commodity trends\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\nExperience\n5+ years of experience in paperboard, packaging, pulp & paper, or related industries\nBackground in:\nSales, customer development, or key account management OR\nStrategic procurement / category management with strong supplier-facing responsibility\nProven involvement in contract negotiations, supplier management, or commercial decision-making\nUnderstanding of cost drivers, pricing mechanisms, and volume-based contracts\nExperience managing or negotiating long-term supply agreements\nAbility to influence stakeholders across procurement, operations, sustainability, and management\nCommercial mindset with interest in revenue growth and customer development\nMarket Knowledge\nFamiliarity with Italy food packaging market and requirements, quality standards, and sustainability topics\nUnderstanding of how brand owners evaluate and select strategic suppliers\nLanguages\nFluent Italian required\nStrong English required\n\nWhy Join APP?\nJoin a global leader committed to innovation, performance, and sustainability.
