About the role:
At Four Seasons Firenze, we are looking for a passionate Restaurant Manager to oversee all facets of the restaurant. The Restaurant Manager maintains and controls a high level of guest service by ensuring consistent and thoughtful service, demonstrated by the restaurant staff. The manager is responsible for hiring, training, supervising, and disciplining staff.
What you will do:
1. Recruit, train, evaluate, lead, motivate, coach, and discipline all restaurant employees to meet established standards; oversee daily operations.
2. Be visible in the operation, recognize guests, promote good relations, and handle complaints or special requests.
3. Ensure quality of all food items, ingredients, and preparation methods; possess expert knowledge of wine and spirits.
4. Control labor and operating expenses through scheduling, budgeting, purchasing, menu engineering, and inventory management.
5. Collaborate with the Director of Restaurants, Executive Chef, and Sommelier on menu and wine list design, ensuring quality and value.
6. Attend operational meetings for coordination between departments.
7. Hold monthly departmental meetings and promote open communication.
8. Maintain cleanliness and condition of facilities and equipment; recommend improvements.
9. Assist with food service, reservations, and cleaning as needed.
What you bring:
* Educational background or equivalent experience.
* Minimum of 2 years management experience in a luxury or Michelin-starred restaurant.
* Strong leadership, organizational, and people skills; drive for exceptional service.
* Problem-solving, innovation, and benchmarking skills.
* Extensive knowledge of food, wine, guest service, cost and labor control, menu writing, merchandising, and accounting.
* Proficiency in Italian and English, both written and spoken.

Schedule & Hours:
This full-time position is based at Four Seasons Hotel Firenze. Flexibility to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays is required. Travel may be necessary for conferences, training, and events. You must have the legal right to work in Italy at the time of application.
