We are looking for a senior Business Development Manager from the ski industry.This is not a general travel role. We need someone with real, hands‐on experience in ski travel who has worked directly with property managers, chalet operators, and mountain hotels.You understand seasonal inventory and have negotiated or managed seasonal buyouts (allotments, full chalet buyouts, hotel blocks).Ideally, you are based in France with strong network access in major French Alpine resorts such as Tignes, Val d'Isère, Méribel, Courchevel, La Plagne, Les Arcs, Alpe d'Huez.Who we are looking for?You should have:

5+ years in the ski industry (tour operator, bed bank, resort‐level BD, chalet company, or ski specialist agency)Direct experience negotiating with property managersExperience managing seasonal hotel or chalet allotmentsStrong network in the French Alps (highly preferred)Deep understanding of ski season revenue dynamicsFluent French and strong English

Nice to have:

Experience with UK outbound ski marketExperience working with dynamic packagingExisting relationships in Tier 1 resorts

ResponsibilitiesSupply Acquisition & Contracting

Source and contract ski accommodation (chalets, apartments, boutique hotels, residences)Negotiate seasonal allotments and preferential commercial termsSecure block inventory in high‐demand weeksStructure buyouts where strategically relevantAlign cancellation policies and margin logic with operator model

You understand ski season dynamics:

Peak vs shoulder weeksGroup inventory vs family inventorySchool holiday pressureTour operator competition

Relationship Management

Build long‐term partnerships with property management companies, chalet operators, mountain hoteliers, and resort‐level stakeholdersMaintain direct communication throughout the seasonMonitor availability, pricing shifts, and operational quality

This is embedded, resort‐level relationship building — not transactional BD.Strategic Resort Focus

Identify 3–5 core strategic resortsBuild density of supply within them

Commercial optimization

Ensure competitive margin structuresSupport yield strategyAlign inventory with demand signals from marketing and AI personalizationFeed insights back to product & growth teamMonitor competitor positioning (Heidi, WeSki, traditional UK operators, French tour operators)Track pricing behaviorIdentify opportunities for exclusive access
