The Opportunity
An established French SME distributor of high-value active ingredients for the cosmetics industry is strengthening its Italian presence.
To support the development of its Active Ingredients Division, the company is hiring a Technical Sales Engineer to drive commercial growth across Italy.
This role combines technical credibility, business development and strategic territory management.
Your Mission
Commercial Development
* Define and execute the Italian growth strategy
* Develop new business with cosmetic brands, laboratories and CDMOs
* Manage and expand existing accounts
* Negotiate commercial agreements and manage margins
Technical Interface
* Promote cosmetic active ingredients to R&D and formulation teams
* Coordinate sampling, technical trials and supplier interactions
* Act as key interface between international principals and Italian clients
Performance & Market Intelligence
* Build annual sales budget and monitor KPIs
* Analyze revenue, margin and product mix
* Monitor trends (clean beauty, biotech actives, pharma-grade positioning)
* Provide structured market feedback
Profile
* Degree in Chemistry, Formulation, Pharmacy, Biotechnology or related field
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in technical sales of cosmetic ingredients
* Strong understanding of formulation-driven selling
* Autonomous, structured and performance-oriented
* Native-level Italian + professional English required
Compensation
* Base salary: €45,000 – €52,000 gross per year
* Variable bonus: €5,000 – €8,000
