Job ID: 10403481 | Amazon Commercial Services Pty Ltd
Overview
Are you a recent graduate with a passion for learning, management and data-driven problem solving? At Amazon we’re on the lookout for the curious, those who think big and want to define the world of tomorrow. Based out of one of our fulfillment centres across the country, Graduate Area Managers work alongside employees in our fulfillment centres to support growth and development, identify and remove barriers, and demonstrate ownership of a fast-paced team environment. After initial training and mentorship, you will have a team of associates reporting to you and will help train and integrate your team. This role offers a path to build skills and experience that can turn your job into a career.
Key responsibilities
* Lead and develop a team of Amazon associates at a Fulfillment Centre/Delivery Station to continuously improve delivery process efficiency, ensuring customer orders are delivered quickly, accurately, and cost-effectively.
* Provide training and integration for your team; foster a learn-by-doing culture; drive progress and strive for excellence as a leader from day one.
* Exercise sound judgment to set realistic, achievable progress and targets; contribute to the future of operations and logistics within Amazon.
* Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, Human Resources and other support teams to meet business objectives; establish and maintain quality control standards.
* Review work forecasts and determine requirements to meet daily building objectives.
* Demonstrate problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
Work schedule
This role is based on a night shift, with hours approximately 6:30pm–4:30am. Shifts run Sunday to Wednesday or Wednesday to Saturday. Night shift allowances may apply in addition to total compensation.
The Graduate Program
The program is designed to make you feel valued, included and enabled from the start, with long-lasting connections to other Graduate Area Managers and peers. It includes an 11-week onboarding/training period to develop soft skills and technical scenarios through virtual and practical learning. After onboarding, the program focuses on building proficiency within your role and broadening your understanding of the wider operation within Amazon Australia.
About the team
You are part of something bigger and amazing. This is not a purely corporate role—you will be based at one of our Fulfillment Centres, working with other Area Managers, support staff, and mentors who will guide your work.
Basic Qualifications
* Completed a tertiary qualification (undergraduate or postgraduate) in the last 24 months in engineering (non-software) or science (logistics, supply chain management).
* People-focused; loves to analyse problems; solution-oriented; able to work independently.
* Possess leadership qualities; enjoys influencing and enabling others; wants to make a positive impact.
Preferred Qualifications
* Some work experience through placement years, internships or university programs.
* Prior experience in a leadership or operational role (advantageous).
