Senior Business Developer - Earth Observation

Join AIKO - Infinite ways to autonomy as we scale up to become the global leader in autonomous space operations. We are seeking a Senior Business Developer to focus on creating and developing business opportunities within the Earth Observation (EO) sector, driving commercial traction for AIKO’s AI and autonomy technologies, particularly in real-time data processing and autonomous decision-making in orbit.

This role involves sourcing and converting opportunities into sales contracts, establishing strategic partnerships, and supporting go-to-market strategies and new office setups. The position requires engaging with space agencies, satellite operators, and EO customers worldwide.

Responsibilities include:

* Identifying and securing EO business opportunities aligned with automation of space operations.
* Driving customer engagement for AIKO’s flight software products.
* Managing and expanding AIKO’s client portfolio across sectors.
* Building long-term relationships with key stakeholders in the space industry.
* Researching market trends and customer needs.
* Planning outreach and marketing campaigns.
* Representing AIKO at industry events.
* Collaborating with technical teams to align customer needs with product development.
* Supporting business goals and KPIs.

Requirements:

* Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business, Economics, or related field.
* At least 5 years of business development experience in the space sector, with a proven record in EO or space data services.
* Ability to close contracts or secure funding above €1M.
* Deep understanding of the EO value chain, satellite missions, data utilization, and downstream applications.
* Passion for innovation in AI and autonomy for space operations.
* Willingness to travel internationally.
* Strong negotiation, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
* Excellent English proficiency.

Preferred Experience:

* Knowledge of onboard software, data pipelines, AI/ML concepts.
* Ability to translate technical solutions into business value.
* Strategic and analytical skills.
* Experience in startup or scale-up environments is a plus.

* Salary range: €40K-€60K.
