Ph3About the role /h3pFour Seasons Hotel Firenze is currently seeking a talented Pastry Demi Chef de Partie to join our team. The position supports overseeing the preparation of sweet items, pastries, cakes, ice creams, sorbets and fruit compotes according to guest orders and banquet event orders, maintaining a safe, sanitary work environment, and meeting production requirements and quality standards. /ph3Responsibilities /h3ulliPrepare pastry items according to guest orders, following recipe cards and adhering to production, portion, and presentation standards. /liliComplete mise‑place and set‑up station for breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner service. /liliStart food items prepared ahead of time, ensuring they are not prepared beyond estimated needs. /liliAssist the Pastry Chef de Partie and Pastry Leadership team in training, motivating and recommending discipline, and supervise the work of pastry employees to ensure standards are met. /liliOperate, maintain and properly clean kitchen equipment, including deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, oven, steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron, and flat top grill. /liliDate all food containers and rotate as per policies; ensure perishables are kept at proper temperatures. /liliCheck pars for shift use, determine necessary preparation, freezer pull and line set up; note out‑of‑stock items or possible shortages; return unused food items to designated storage areas. /liliAssist in setting up plans and actions to correct food cost problems; control food waste, loss and usage per policies. /liliAssist in prep work of special items for the next shift, including set‑up and cleaning of operational areas. /liliAssist in food preparation in other kitchen areas when needed. /li /ulh3Qualifications /h3ulliAt least 1 year of pastry experience, preferably in a luxury hotel environment. /liliAbility to multitask, operate, maintain and properly clean deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, oven, steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron, flat top grill. /liliReading, writing and oral proficiency in the Italian language. /liliEnglish proficiency is a plus. /li /ulh3Benefits /h3ulliCompetitive salary, wages, and a comprehensive benefits package. /liliExcellent training and development opportunities. /liliEmployee discount for stays at any Four Seasons worldwide. /liliComplimentary dry cleaning for employee uniforms. /liliStaff accommodation upon availability. /li /ulh3Schedule Hours /h3pFull‑time seasonal contract available for immediate start.
